Since 2004, The Casual Fridays have been energizing the southern New Mexico desert with a fresh but heavy dose of ska. While much of the music stays true to First Wave Ska there are elements of soul, skacore, reggae, punk, and 50's American music as well as some dance-inducing cover songs. The Casual Fridays are upbeat, fun and their horn lines are catchy.They stll play ska, but are now mixing in other genres such as; Soul, R&B, Latin, and many others soon to come. T.C.F. has a really tight rhtym section and soon will be adding woodwinds into the brass section. They are also planning on taking on new time signatures and playing in different keys that they have never played in before.

The front man of the band, Gabe Tena (Lead Singer, Guitar) is the founder and only original member of The Casual Fridays. Gabe Tena is also the principal song writer in the band. Despite conflicting schedules, lineup changes, and a ska scene that leaves much to be desired The Casual Fridays have stayed in the mix.

The Casual Fridays have an energetic live show and some music that will make you want to tap your toes or get up and skank. When it comes to ska, they serve it up raw. Now get out there and support your local music!
